Executive Director Hemophilia - 2013580004 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Description Vitalant is hiring an Executive Director for our Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania (HCWP). Your impact as an Executive Director is Vital. The Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania is one of about 140 hemophilia treatment centers nationwide but stands out as one of the larger centers offering comprehensive multidisciplinary care and support for patients throughout their lifetime. As a vital extension of Vitalant's mission '...to help save and sustain lives,' the Hemophilia Center is crucial in providing ongoing and holistic care. Advocate and raise awareness for people with hemophilia. Collaborate and develop a vision for future service expansion to address long-term patient needs, including new treatments and specialties. Oversee hosted events, (i.e. Kids camp) ensuring 24/7 medical support and recruiting necessary personnel. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in business, social sciences, health, or relevant field required. Master's degree preferred. Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set, and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget required. Knowledge of rare diseases/bleeding disorders preferred. Knowledge of 340B funding preferred Experience Eight years of healthcare or nonprofit related experience required. To include: Five years of management experience. Proven history of effectively leading and scaling a performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies required. Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures required. Past successes working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existingboard member relationships required. Ability to quickly triage issues as they arise, manage shifting priorities, and manage expectations of stakeholders including Board, industry sponsors, and national and state bleeding disorders organizations required.
