Description We are seeking a skilled Cash Application Specialist for a contract-to-hire position within the steel manufacturing industry, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounting and financial tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer applications and maintaining comprehensive records. The position requires extensive data processing and proficiency with accounting software systems such as Oracle and Excel. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role is full-time, onsite, five days a week in downtown Pittsburgh. Responsibilities: Review and audit dues payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance Balance and reconcile lock boxes, maintaining an organized and efficient system Liaise with employers and Local Unions to research and resolve discrepancies with payments Verify and input banking information for Local Unions, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records Record and deposit miscellaneous cash receipts, keeping track of all cash activity Generate and reconcile daily control runs, maintaining an accurate record of all transactions Balance daily check runs and transmit electronic payments, ensuring timely and accurate payments Audit and edit expense vouchers, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded and justified Enter and maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy Perform various payroll functions, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations Review and enter invoices for payment, ensuring all invoices are paid on time Create weekly check runs for accounts payable, maintaining an efficient payment system Enter PAC receipts and process payments for political contributions, ensuring all contributions are accurately recorded and processed.
