Position Summary The Associate, Facilities effectively monitors and communicates all information from user interfaces and internal customers throughout JetBlue Airways Corp. to other internal customers or Business Partners for priority resolution. Essential Responsibilities Monitor the building and life safety systems of T5 and other JetBlue Airways Corp. support facilities at JFK through graphic user interfaces, phone, internet, and live camera feeds Field internal and external facilities-related requests from Facilities Supervisors and business partners Track/manage facility-related action plans assigned by leadership Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma One (1) year of experience working in an airport, airline, or facilities environment Aptitude for understanding the functionality of HVAC systems, lighting controls, electrical basics, plumbing basics, and the facility building management computer system (BMS) Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge Depending upon location, may need to possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance Available for overnight travel (10%) Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Experience and Qualifications College degree Management/supervisory experience Trade organization certificates related to facility maintenance Technical knowledge of, or troubleshooting experience with, any of the following: HVAC Electrical Plumbing Conveyor systems Jet Bridges Elevators/escalators/moving walkways/automated doors Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctuality Available for evening/night/weekend/holiday shift work and flexibility for emergency/short-term response when needed Able to maintain a professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) Equipment: Computer and other office equipment HVAC, electrical, and plumbing BMS monitoring systems IT infrastructure Work Environment: Airport Environment Subject to weather and elevated noise levels within airports Physical Effort: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally Compensation: The base pay range for this position is between $62,400.00 and $77,800.00 per year.
