Accounts Payable Specialist- Ottawa, KSLHH is partnering with a client in the Ottawa, KS area who is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position will be responsible for providing AP support within the Accounting Department. This position will be fully onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, on a contract-to-hire basis, offering $21-25ph. Responsibilities:Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.Review and verify invoices and check requests.Sort, code, and match invoices.Set invoices up for payment.Track expenses and process expense reports.Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions.Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.Maintain vendor files.Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.Assist with month-end closing.Provide supporting documentation for audits.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.Proficiency in MS Office.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Job Details:Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Ottawa, KSSchedule: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) Compensation: $21-25ph.Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Benefits: PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, STD/LTDPay Details: $21.00 to $25.00 per hourSearch managed by: Claire Grossman Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
