LHH has partnered with a fantastic and growing real estate company in Owings Mills, MD to identify a Staff Accountant with proficiency in AppFolio to join a dynamic finance team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, a keen eye for accuracy, and hands-on experience with AppFolio accounting software. This role will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Transaction Management: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and collections.AppFolio Management: Utilize AppFolio software for property management accounting, including rent roll maintenance, tenant billing, and lease management.Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial pliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies. Assist with audits and regulatory filings as needed.Financial Analysis: Provide analytical support and insights for financial decision-making, including variance analysis and cost tracking.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
