Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in New York, New York. This role is pivotal to the function of our Human Resources department, with a focus on managing and optimizing HR Information Systems (HRIS), onboarding and offboarding employees, and collaborating with other departments to ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Oversee the management and maintenance of the HRIS to support all HR functions, while ensuring system updates, configurations, user access, and data integrity. Draft offer letters and oversee completion of all background checks. Manage the onboarding and training schedules for employees, contract staff, and consultants. Facilitate the off-boarding process for employees, ensuring timely terminations and status changes in the HRIS system. Collaborate with the Facilities team to update seating plans in accordance with team composition changes. Respond to ad hoc requests for data or reports from HRIS to support decision-making. Work with the Finance department to monitor and approve all invoices for the HR department. Coordinate with the Legal team to process vendor contracts via the contract management system and maintain organization of executed contracts. Maintain organization hierarchy charts and record changes accurately and timely. Administer steps in alignment with approved process flows to ensure streamlined effectiveness. Review and respond to inquiries from the HR inbox. Assist with the administration of the company's remuneration policies and programs. Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Specialist or in a similar role Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode Experience with Ceridian, CRM, and About Time software Proven skills in Auditing and Benefit Functions Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrable experience in Compliance Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Excellent organizational and time-management skills Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
