A week in the life of a Lead Systems Engineer: AdministeringMicrosoft Windows OS and a variety of technologies including, but limited to: VMware vCenter and VMware ESXi Horizon View Site Recovery Manager HPAC Secure Printing HP Servers EMC SANs Administering MicrosoftOffice 2016 (and newer), Certificate Services,DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy,and PKIs AdministeringLinux (RHEL)systems includingdeployment and updates Managing updates and software deployments using MicrosoftSCCM/MECM Deploying workstation images and managingthin and/or zero clients WritingStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs)to accomplish repetitive tasks Performingrequirements analysis,requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms Providing direction andguidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers Investigating andresolving operational problemswith other engineering and technical personnel Working on project teams responsible forengineering and packaging releaseswithin the customer's production IT environment Job Requirements ActiveTOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience At least 2 years of experience administering Linux (RHEL) systems DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP) DoD 8570 computing environment certification requiredwithin 6 months of hire(e.g., MCSA, VCP, or equivalent.) Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, EMC SANs, and VMware products Willingness to occasionally work after normal duty hours to support system maintenance or service outages Must be open to random CI Polygraph AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
