What does an IT Data Center Coordinator do for us? They provide oversight of activities in support of the data center facilities, which support all internal and external business facing technology systems. They make decisions about maintenance activities and operating protocols to ensure stable and efficient operation of the data center in compliance with industry and company standards. They provide space planning and layout design to ensure electrical power, cooling, and equipment installations are managed to provide an ongoing balance of the data center environment as infrastructure changes take place. They analyze and ensure that data center equipment issues that supports Idaho Power Company Data Centers are resolved quickly. They can analyze and diagnose technical problems utilizing documentation, tools, and the knowledge database. Will have skills in HVAC, power, fire suppression, and air flow within the context of a raised floor facility are critical. They can multi-task effectively, remain detail oriented, and maintain composure in a fast-paced IT environment. They possess logical thought processes and can learn new systems, concepts, and procedures. They maintain a schedule of maintenance items, work with vendors to execute on those tasks. REQUIRED SKILLS Knowledge of: A very good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems used in a data center environment including transformers, generators, switch gear, UPS, ATS/SST units, PDUs, chillers, air handlers, CRAC units, fire suppression, and building management systems Cabling and wiring best practices in the data center Preferred: Best practices concerning data center mechanical and electrical systems Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Process Management Excellent communication, both verbal and written Skills in: Office productivity tools, including SharePoint and MS Visio MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems OR Equivalent training and experience Experience: 7 or more years of experience managing a medium to large 24/7 Data/Network Operations Center 5 or more years of operational experience in a multiple host environment including Windows, Linux, Midrange, and storage environments Preferred: 10 or more years of experience managing a medium to large 24/7 Data/Network Operations Center 7 or more years of operational experience in a multiple host environment including Windows, Linux, Midrange, and storage environments Experience with Disaster Recovery and physical and electronic security processes Experience setting up Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor environmentals and equipment Experience reading and understanding of building electrical schematics PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop and squat, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, twist, kneel, balance, and reach. Rarely lift shoulder-high and above items weighing up to 15 lbs., and occasionally lift waist- and knee-high items weighing 35-45 lbs. Occasionally use exertional force of up to 75 lbs.; occasionally carry with two hands or one hand items weighing 35-45 lbs. Requires occasional grasping of tools and frequent use of fine motor skills when keyboarding or using small hand tools.
