Electrical Engineer Bloomfield, CT - Hybrid Remote Position Pay range: $110,000 - $150,000 base salary Role Overview: Our engineering organization is hiring an Electrical Engineer that reports into the Senior Director of Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will be involved in designing, validating, and solving complex technical challenges related to electrical and communication systems used worldwide. As a part of our electrical engineering team, you will get hands-on exposure to our control systems, sensors, drives, and communication platforms. In this high impact role, you will have access to an engineering organization with diverse skill-set and extensive domain expertise, internal labs with extensive capabilities, continuous learning and development opportunities. On a typical day you will: Develop system/component level requirements and generate design concepts for electrical/embedded software based communication systems. Perform integration testing of ethernet communication networks and corresponding hardware/embedded software systems. Work with compliance agencies to prepare compliance test plans and documentation. Coordinate with suppliers, and electronic manufacturing partners to bring a design into a production environment. Work individually and across a matrixed team environment. What You Will Need to be Successful: BSc. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, networking and communication systems or closely related field 3+ years of hands-on design experience with electrical/embedded software systems involving serial/ethernet communications Experience in selecting/designing/validating modules/assemblies with Wired (serial/CAN/Ethernet/USB) communication interfaces Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a matrix organization and manage multiple tasks related to different projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Systems Engineering and/or certifications in networking and communication systems Experience with wireless communication (BLE/Wi-Fi/Cellular) interfaces Prior experience in designing or testing systems to meet worldwide telecommunication standards.New About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
