POSITION SUMMARY The onsite Production Specialist, with SGK Print, located in East Butler, PA, plays a critical role in supporting project managers and production departments in organizing, planning, and monitoring ongoing projects. This position is responsible for tracking project plans, schedules, rates, executing estimates, ensuring overall quality and meeting deadlines. The Production Specialistworks closely with project managers to define realistic and committed project plans, coordinating and supporting all functions to execute these plans effectively. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Communicates clearly and frequently with clients and their representatives regarding production needs, lead times, permits, pre-production checklists, change orders, etc. Shares production details, checklists, customizations, special drawings and change orders across respective teams associated with production. Determines best production methods, including print layouts, caution points, and material staging for each job. Schedules and dispatches sorted orders through production process to meet delivery promise. Reschedules orders when required. Maintains, expedites and improves customer delivery schedules through the various phases of production. Inputs sales orders, reviews open order status reports and shipping schedules. Prepares invoices and verifies collection of funds. Runs and utilizes reports to hold meetings with departmental supervisors to ensure that on-time deliveries are made and maintain production schedules. Monitors efficiency to reduce waste of materials; reorganize work flows; and relocate work stations and equipment. Assists customers regarding pricing, design selections, product offerings, etc. Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field. 3+ years of previous production support experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required. Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work with and influence peers and management. Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. Ability to work overtime as necessary.
