Summary Our client is seeking a Controller to join our organization and support their manufacturing plants. In this role, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial transactions and reporting for the division, including all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and audit coordination. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance. Responsibilities and Duties Lead by example and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and Company policies and procedures, including Code of Business Conduct Embrace and promote the culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with our client's values. Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including preparation of journal entries, account variance analysis, and coordination of audits Generate accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, in compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies and procedures Establish financial systems, schedules, and metrics that provide regular updates to management on the division's financial status; maintain, document, and review processes to ensure internal controls Develop and maintain costing for raw materials Develop forecast, annual budget, and capital budget for plants; work closely with Operations leadership to evaluate/assess monthly results and drive improved financial performance and cost reduction Assure monthly inventory movements are accurately recorded and reconciled Ensure accounts payable and receivable are accurate and timely Manage cash forecasting and reporting Oversee the preparation of the annual Corporate ESG data reporting Lead risk assessment and risk reporting Coach and mentor Accounting team to optimize performance, efficiency, and accuracy; manage and oversee day-to-day accounting processes, tracking and reporting Communicate effectively with senior leadership and external customers Qualifications/Skills/Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, CPA a plus Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; metals and/or heavy manufacturing experience a strong plus Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations; depth of experience in standard costing principles Proficiency with Oracle or similar accounting/ERP system Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills Good follow through skills, as well as heightened attention to detail Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt well to change Excellent command of Microsoft Office Excel, Access, Word and Power Point Ability to work flexible schedule at critical financial reporting times Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
