Primary duties include creating and maintaining Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) for all approved vendors. Handles entry-level SKU creation activities based on vendor and program rules for all business segments. Product Data Management supports efforts include a reactive focus on customer-specific opportunities, while a proactive focus is applied to developing resources, reports, and training for Sales and supporting teams. The Associate maintains personal knowledge of vendor programs and contract procedures to make educated decisions that ensure SKU creation meets both vendor program and company audit compliance. The Product Data Management Associate uses knowledge and experience to develop internal processes and documentation, limiting liability to both the customer and Connection regarding revenue loss, inability to sell vendor programs, and associated fines.Primary Job Duties:Create and maintain stock-keeping units (SKUs) per established guidelines. Respond to Sales and support teams with regard to the creation of SKUSAudit supplied information for accuracyAssist with the creation and maintenance of SKUS according to internal product and program naming conventionsRespond to sales requests through call tracking tool within established Service Level, including (but not limited to) P & A, new SKUs, and SKU ReportingProblem-solve and use prior experience to identify potential issues in SKU creation to avoid issues with order processingEOL (end of life) SKU managementAssist with updates to existing SKUSAssist with the maintenance of documents associated with SKU governanceAssist with price list managementMaintain necessary SKU and vendor-related reporting informationCreate and maintain necessary price listsMaintain updating of SKUS within the company ERPIdentify process improvements and enhancementsParticipate in and contribute to team goalsMaintain Team OneNote Notebook to keep vendor and program information, along with team processes and communication notesDevelop and maintain key vendor and Sales team relationships.Increase personal knowledge of vendor programs and contract proceduresAttend both internal and external training and webinars to identify vendor program and product changesBuild relationships with Connection Sales and Support Teams, including Business Development Managers, Purchasing, Licensing Sales Specialists and Partner Development SpecialistsIdentify the need for unique business drivers and make proposals for improved processesPursue strategies for enhancing the end-customer experience as it pertains to licensing and contractsRequired Competencies:Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to create formulas, tables, and charts.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook with the ability to formulate and send professional emailsWorking knowledge of customer relationship management systems or ERP systemsWorking knowledge with databases to audit and update informationCustomer-oriented with the ability to listen to and anticipate the needs of the customerRoutine problem solver in situations where most problems have occurred before and solutions are familiarBasic to intermediate understanding of sales or product procurement operations with the ability to follow and improve processes within a vendor segment while maintaining set controlsAttention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materialsDiscreet with demonstrated ability to work in a confidential executive environment using good judgment while acting as an ambassador for the companyProcess change agent with the ability to identify process improvements and system enhancements in a changing environmentIntermediate reasoning skills with the ability to follow established processes and controlsAnalytical with the ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rationalDetail-oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with the ability to proofread for accuracyOrganized state of mind with the ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlinesExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentUSD $40,000.00/Yr.USD $49,600.00/Yr.
