The Philanthropy Outreach and Engagement Director Sr will develop and advise on system-wide philanthropy messaging and outreach strategies and fundraising initiatives for the Center for Philanthropic Excellence. They will assess and bring forward opportunities to advance and build efficiencies across our market foundations. This role involves collaborating with market teams to create impactful fundraising efforts, including annual fund appeals, fundraising initiatives, impact reports, donor engagement communications and materials, and our employee giving campaign. Develop best practice guides and adaptable model materials/templates, available to all marketfoundations, for:· Annual Fund Appeals - including guides for audience versioning and reply devices withpersonalized variable copy and ask ladders.· Strategic Fundraising Initiatives Communication: creative concepts, case statements,white papers, story one-sheeters, and customizable donor proposals.· Quarterly Donor Impact/Engagement Communication.· Annual Impact Report and individual Major Donor Impact Reports.· Post-Campaign Reporting.2. Provide guidance and oversight on team member and donor interviews· Develop strategy/key takeaways; identify subjects; provide guidance on approach,including semi-structured interview formatting; etc.· Partner with System Marketing and Communications to develop effective socializationplans.3. Oversee Website Copy/Content· Assist in the development of and updates to standardized website copy/contentapplicable to all markets.· Provide counsel, direction, and feedback.4. Collaborate directly with System and Market Marketing and Communications teams to build bestpractice in our philanthropy communications to elevate the UnityPoint Health brand andphilanthropic efforts. Partner to align to the organization’s marketing and communicationsstrategies, tactics and plans.. This includes participation in regular meetings with all market foundation and annual giving representatives, as well as communications leaders.Lead all efforts for Philanthropy Outreach and Engagement related to efforts in the Center forPhilanthropic Excellence and initiatives spanning multiple markets· The Senior Director will lead all efforts pertaining to the development of strategic fundraisinginitiatives at the system level, including case for support, white papers, customizable donorproposals, impact reports, donor interviews, website content, and more.· The Senior Director will lead the development of adaptable materials for fundraising initiativesthat may span multiple markets.· Additionally, the Senior Director will support efforts of aligning philanthropic communicationspertaining to UnityPoint Health’s Employee Giving Campaign and communications directly tosystem level employees.Establish a culture of continuous improvement· The Senior Director will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement,which includes - investment in training programs, identifying opportunities for efficiencies andnew innovations to elevate outcomes, and fostering communication and collaboration across theenterprise and with our internal business partnersEducation: Bachelor’s Degree OR Master’s DegreeExperience: 10 plus years of progressively more responsible marketing and communications experience, with a minimum of five years in philanthropy communications. Experience working in complex matrix driven organizations, like a university of healthcare system.License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:· Must read, speak and write fluent English. · Possesses excellent written and verbal communications. · Demonstrated ability to develop multi-channel strategic communications plan · Ability to manage budgets, track expenditures, and develop benchmarking analysis. · Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. · Knowledgeable on personal computers, website development tools, Search Engine Operations and optimization, digital marketing strategies, and presentation production. · Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships. · Maintains a positive attitude and provides high standard of customer service. · Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.
