PaperWorks’ products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and 100% Recycled Paperboard Alliance.SUMMARY: Responsible for reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability by preparing detailed job plans, coordinating key scheduling activities with other departments, and ensuring work order data integrity. Facilitates and champions the advancement of the fundamental principles of the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program. Maintains all levels of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Uses engineering principles to accurately scope jobs and plan maintenance work to increase overall equipment reliability.Utilizes CMMS for the creation of task lists and maintenance plans to assist in job planning.Estimates the skills and labor hours needed to perform work by visiting job site of new work order requests and coordinating with techniciansEnsures the accuracy of the information on work order requests before converting them to work ordersObtains all technical and engineering documents, specifications, and drawings required for each scheduled jobConverts work requests to work order in the CMMS/EAM systemManages work backlogs (planned and unplanned) utilizing the CMMS systemPrepares the weekly schedule and reviews it with maintenance managementEstablishes job priorities, with the assistance of production and maintenance managementPlans for interruptions in work and develops backup plansParticipates in budget preparation and administrationDefines scope, cost and engineering needed for outage jobsMaintains the mill preventive maintenance programUtilizes predictive data (Thermography, vibration reports, oil analysis, etc.) to assist in setting priorities for outage workAssist the failure analysis effort by helping implement corrective actions that are needed to prevent reoccurrence of equipment failureAssesses and recommends when work will be performed with internal resources or if the work should be contracted to an outside vendorEnsures that stores items are available and reserved for scheduled workEvaluates the need for replacement parts and places orders accordinglyReserves and allocates warehouse stock items for planned jobsUpdates equipment historyResponsible for maintaining all safety notifications and work orders in CMMS.Ensures that all completed work orders are properly closed outFills in for Maintenance Supervisors as requiredAssists the Safety Manager in the development, implementation, and enforcement of all plant safety and housekeeping programsPerforms other duties as deemed necessary by the Plant EngineerREQUIREMENTSAssociates degree in a technical field or comparable technical experience (7+) years’.Skilled in PM/PdM (preventative and predictive maintenance)Experienced in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)Experienced in utilizing CMMS systemsExtensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance techniquesExpert level project management skillKnowledgeable in the theory and use of vibration analysisKnowledgeable in the theory and application of lubrication technology, analysis, and management.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAble to speak clearly, so that others understand youAble to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understandAble to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentencesAble to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Able to navigate ladders and stairsAble to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
