The ideal General Manager, candidate will have high end, NYC ala carte restaurant management experience. The idela candidate will hvae a focus on strong guest service with a passion for hospitality with strong wine and food knowledge.In addition, you have a strong knowledge of business financials including annual budget monitoring, labor control, operating expenses, and P&Ls. Patina Restaurant Group was recently named one of America's Top 25 restaurant groups by Nation's Restaurant News.Manage day-to day-restaurant operations with a strong focus on guest satisfactionReview financial and performance data to measure productivity, goal achievement, and to identify cost reduction and program improvement opportunitiesOversee workforce planning, training, sales tracking, labor tracking, petty cash, deposits, inventories, ordering, account payables and receivables, and P&L accountingEstablish standard operating procedures for supervising all front of the house team membersCollaborate with the Executive Chef on standard operating procedures in the front and back of the house to ensure food and menu specifications, food handling and food safety requirements, receiving, and storage proceduresMinimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager in full-service restaurant, hotel, or other food and beverage location with similar volume, capacity, and standard of serviceStrong wine and bar knowledge; a sommelier certification from either Court of Master's or WSET is highly valuedServsafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certificationsExperience working with and an understanding of P&L's; able to monitor budgets and manage service and labor costsProficient in Microsoft office products (word, excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as neededExperience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, point-of-sale systems, online or digital reservation systemsNo degree required
