Revenue Cycle ClerkClick Here to Apply OnlineJob DescriptionLocation: Stewardship Health IncPosted Date: 9/6/2024Job Type: Full TimeDepartment: 1185.73002 TexasLouisiana Cash Operations MCSETPOSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for the efficient handling, sorting, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including scanning and faxing information to appropriate locations ensuring timely delivery to various departments and clinics. The Mail Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining effective communication and support within our healthcare facilities. The Revenue Cyle Clerk reports to the Sr Manager, Cash Operations for Steward Medical Group. This position is Monday - Friday on site at 30 Perwal Street, Westwood, MA. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Work independently to sort incoming mail and packages by department, clinic, or individual recipient.Scan and deposit checks into the appropriate US Bank Account remotely and queue for posting by the Cash Ops Team. Scan Reduction Requests received from Law Offices for the Legal AR across 3 billing systems (IASIS Next Gen, Cerner, and Athena) to appropriate mailboxes. Scan all claim correspondence, authorizations, and etc., and upload into Athena for posting. Batch all mail to vendors that including claim correspondence and checks.Routes all Non-Patient Cash to appropriate lockbox. Scan payments, correspondence, and medical records request to the facility contacts. Fax all Medical Record Request received via Cash Ops fax to ShareCare. Print, sign, and mail payer enrollments to insurance companies that require wet signature. Process all Cash Operations Outgoing Mail. Scan all faxes to appropriate e-fax addresses Distribute mail and packages to designated areas in a timely manner.Prepare outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper labeling, postage, and documentation.Schedule and coordinate pickups with courier services as required.Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.Track and report any discrepancies or issues related to mail delivery.Provide excellent customer service to clinic staff regarding mail inquiries and concerns.Assist with locating and retrieving mail and packages as needed.Monitor and maintain inventory of mailing supplies (envelopes, labels, etc.).Order supplies as needed and ensure the mail room is organized and well-maintained.Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Maintain professional competency, according to department policies, procedures and protocols.Ensure compliance with all postal regulations and guidelines. Other Duties:Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Mail Room Supervisor.Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve mail room operations. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in using basic office equipment (printers, scanners, computers). Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures is an advantage.Highly detail oriented and well organized; ability to multitask. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office & Excel programs.Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration is a plus.Previous experience in a mail room or similar role is preferred.Possess ability to investigate, analyze and in coordination with management, resolve departmental issues. Possess ability to work efficiently and accurately, and to organize and plan work.
