Major apparel manufacturer hiring a Manager of Production to lead a team of Production Coordinators and support the department's initiatives of quality, cost control, and on-time delivery for mass markets retailers like Wal-Mart, Targert, or TJX Companies. Among other objectives, a major emphasis is placed on reducing lead times, reducing costs through cost engineering and local component sourcing, and keeping up to date on trade agreements.ResponsibilitiesOversee all product-related queries and support leadership in delivering maximum cost efficienciesCreate company production calendar to ensure internal schedules and milestones are met for Development and Pre-Production through weekly follow-up meetingsMaintain alignment with business milestones by partnering cross-functionally with Merchandising, Technical Design, and Trim Teams for the weekly T&A meetings; ensure communication is clear and confirm closure at the milestone meetingsTake ownership of WIP tracking and factory performance to ensure on-time deliveriesEnsure quality standards are met at the factory level through proactive development stepsTake ownership of the invoice approval processCommunicate daily with the Merchandisers to identify and resolve production and delivery issuesProvide production updates to Sales Management on exceptionsPartner cross-functionally with Forecasting, Planning, and Raw Materials Teams to ensure capacity allowances by factory are met and/or revised as neededRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Production Management, or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of garment development, global production, and factory WIP follow-upExcellent communication, delegation, and team-building skillsStrong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and meet multiple deadlinesStrong working knowledge of MS Office tools, PLM, and SCMPay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Douglas Hodges Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:The California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
