Are you living your life's work? Summary: The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions and administrative business operations of the practice. Accountable for clinical and non-clinical staff, customer service and promotion of patient care continuity for patients. Works collaboratively and ensures the delivery of service in a culturally sensitive manner while filling in clerically when needed. The Office Manager evaluates clinical and non-clinical support staff performance on an ongoing basis and provides timely performance counseling/coaching when needed. Responsibilities: Supervising, training and evaluating staff and various department human resource tasks. Review of office charges and patient information is verified, including pre-certification and referrals are obtained. Maintaining and ordering an inventory of supplies, approval of costs, operating budget review and balancing deposits. Supervising the doctors' master schedule for patient visits and outside appointments and running reports. Greet incoming patients, noting their arrival time in the scheduling system. Confirm patient demographic information by providing form and HIPAA privacy notice to patient for completion. Instruct new patients in proper method to complete new patient information forms, obtain insurance information, set up medical record and attach copies to the encounter slip. Answer assigned telephone lines appropriately and promptly, transferring to correct parties when necessary. Take clear and precise messages, assuring they are placed in appropriate location for communication. Any other duties, as assigned. Accountable for improving patient care through adherence to all patient safety and quality standards, regulations, and best practices. Any other duties, as assigned. Education or Equivalent Experience: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) High School graduate or equivalent - requiredMinimum one-year experience in a medical services billing office environment.Experience in a Medical Group PracticeSupervisory experience Bachelor of Arts or Science Bachelors degree preferred We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
