The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for batching concrete to mix requirements, ordering raw materials, and scheduling mixer trucks to ensure timely delivery to production areas. The Batch Plant Operator will also be responsible for general equipment operator maintenance, minor repairs, and inspection tasks utilizing checklists, instructions and small tools.Additionally, you will be cross-trained as a floater working on the pouring crew doing items such as operating the pouring bucket, pouring concrete, and running the loader.This is a 1st shift position with a start time of 9:00AMResponsibilities:Batching of concrete accurately per the mix designs for each jobWorks closely with plant operations to coordinate mixing schedules and delivery of concreteOrdering of materials for batching processCleans, inspects, makes adjustments and performs minor repairs on batch plant equipmentAble to effectively communicate with internal and external customersRunning the loaderPouring ConcreteOperating bucket for pouringYou will possess the following qualifications:High School Graduate or GED equivalentOne year experience in the precast/prestressed concrete industryCDL A or CDL B valid drivers license preferred, but not requiredAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyAbility to work a flexible scheduleFlexbility to be a floater working in various departmentsWorking for The High Companies:High Concrete Group LLC combines innovation, proven technology, more than three-quarters of a century&s experience as a precast company, and nearly 50 years as a precaster.Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisor.Employee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencing.High Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of High co-workers working at least 1,000 hours per year and employed for at least two years.
