Your expertise will be focused on acquiring and managing a high performing investment product and technology portfolio that continuously adds value for our clients and for our organization and is critical to our success. This position requires a deep understanding of public market investments (fixed income, equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, ETNs, alternatives, SMAs, etc.), due diligence and research and governance practices as well as investment related technology platforms. You will work closely with a diverse audience that includes our client facing colleagues, Directors, C-level leadership, Risk, Compliance and vendors.The Head of Investment Platform and Diligence will report to the Chief Investment Officer.Responsibilities:Develops and manages a comprehensive and scalable due diligence program on the Wealth Management Investment product offering, inclusive of selection, termination, and ongoing monitoring for a wide array of investment products(e.g., fixed income, equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, ETNs, alternatives, SMAs, etc.) and investment management firmsLeads the governance practice for investment oversight and decision makingDevelops, leads and manages due diligence practices and procedures that comply with all regulatory agencies (e.g., OCC, SEC, FINRA, etc.) and continually evolve to meet the emerging demands of our businessDevelops, leads and manages efficient research strategiesOwns and continuously improves the Wealth Management organizations investment research platform ensuring that our technology is effective, efficient, and being appropriately utilized throughout the organizationLeads a team of investment professionals ensuring consistent and high-quality work product delivery, training as well as ongoing mentoring and skill developmentRemains on top of emerging industry trends in due diligence practices, technology stacks, and case studiesLeads the continuous implementation of product offering enhancements, technology and process improvementsForges strong collaborative partnerships with industry and internal investment professionalsProvides excellently articulated presentations and communications that synthesize information through a quantitative and qualitative lens and appeal to various audiences throughout the organizationTravel is required approximately 30% of the time15+ years of job experience in the financial markets with experience in alternative investment research10+ years of experience in an external manager due diligence program leadership roleAdvanced communication skills to develop relevant topics of interest and engaging presentations for all levels of the organizationSuccessful track record of balancing risk tolerance with business needs/demandsFINRA Series 7 and 63 required or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hireBachelor's Degree Required, preferably in business or financePreferred Experience:Advanced designation of MBA, CFA, CPA, and/or CAIA not required but viewed favorablyExperience with Morningstar Direct (or similar), Bloomberg, FactSet, Black Diamond and other industry leading technology solutionsPay TransparencyThe salary range for this position is $240,000 - $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
