Manufacturing Supervisor

DescriptionThe Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily operations within a manufacturing facility. They play a critical role in ensuring production goals are met efficiently, safely, and with high quality. This position involves managing staff, coordinating production schedules, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety regulations.Responsibilities: Supervision: Directly manage operators, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards. Production Coordination: Schedule and coordinate production activities, optimizing workflow and resource allocation. Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained, coordinating repairs as needed. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety guidelines, conduct safety training, and address any safety concerns promptly. Performance Metrics: Track production metrics (e.g., output, efficiency, scrap rates) and implement improvements. Team Leadership: Motivate and lead production teams, fostering a positive work environment.RequirementsQualifications: Typically requires 5 or more years in a supervisory capacity in manufacturing setting. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Experience with production processes and safety protocols. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is often required; additional technical or management education is beneficial.Physical Requirements: Lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Standing/Walking: Frequent standing and walking throughout the production area. Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using tools and handling equipment.
