The successful candidate holds a valid nursing license in practicing state and current certification in CPR/AED from American Red Cross or AHA. This position will serve three locations: Steel of West Virginia located in Huntington, WV and Ashland, KY and Steel Ventures located in Wurtland, KY.The position is full time Monday - Friday with on-call required after hours for injury management.Treatment of on-site injuries and referral to outside medical care as neededCase management for injured workers and facilitate return to workProvide medical surveillance for all employees including but not limited to annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening and lead testingConduct new hire pre-employment drug and alcohol screening & coordinate medical examinationsParticipate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analysesAdministration of the Drug and Alcohol program according to company policyResponsible for training employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as Medical Responders to aid in the care of injured workersResponsible for training employees on Bloodborne Pathogens, Hearing Conservation, Violence in the Workplace, Ergonomics and Heat Stress to meet OSHA requirementsAdvise on Workers’ Compensation claims, as neededFMLA AdministrationMaintain HIPPA compliant documentationAccountable for delivery of agreed to regional health metrics and outcomesPurchase all supplies required for the first aid clinicDevelop and meet site budget expectationsDrive increased health outcomes including reducing population health risks, managing and eliminating workplace health risks and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing employee health and wellbeingWillingness to work closely with the Safety Coordinators at the division level to recognize hazards and prevent injuryRequiredActive RN license in state of practice2 or more years hospital or clinic nursing experienceExcellent assessment skills in a clinical settingPhlebotomyCurrent CPR/AED certificationTravel, as neededMay not be related to another employee at location of employment.
