Position Overview:PharmaEssentia is seeking a hands-on, innovative, and collaborative Contracts Manager (or Paralegal) with experience in the life sciences industry who thrives in a rapidly-growing, fast-paced, and collaborative work environment. This position is a hybrid role based in our US headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts and reports to the Head of US Legal (remote will be considered for outstanding candidates). This is an important role within the legal team and US organization with responsibilities for reviewing contracts, managing our contracting processes, overseeing the contracting system, and, as appropriate, handle other legal matters. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts while providing outstanding client service to our internal business partners and external parties. Key Responsibilities:Draft and negotiate agreements for various internal stakeholders, including commercial, R&D, and medical affairs teams.Prepare or revise corporate templates.Conduct internal training and respond to questions relating to contract related matters and other legal matters.Coordinate with global headquarters routinely on contracting processes and contract matters.Oversee contracts management system and assist in managing the inflow and outflow of contracts, tracking, and reporting contract status for internal sponsors, and ensuring compliance with contract procedures, company policy, financial controls, government specifications and other requirements.Partner with the in-house legal team to help create new and update existing templates and develop and implement new policies and procedures to improve contracting and legal matter management efficiency.Establish and foster strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners and service municate professionally and succinctly with internal stakeholders and third parties.Assist with special projects, including the selection and migration to a new contract management system.Drive strong company culture as we grow and evolve.Qualifications & Experience:A college degree is required and a paralegal or contract management certificate is preferred.Prior in-house experience in the life sciences industry drafting and negotiating agreements.Experience with contract administration system required.Ability to understand, interpret and explain legal principles.High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications anizational and project management skills.Can excel in a fast-paced, changing environment with limited structure that requires independence, flexibility, resourcefulness, a sense of urgency, being efficient and remote communications.Experienced in successfully handling and prioritizing multiple projects/matters, working independently and managing stakeholder and external parties' expectations.High-energy professional with demonstrated self-confidence, high integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive legal matters.Proven excellence in trust-building and relationship-building.
