Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: The team lead supervises, coordinate, and participate in activities of the Courier Services. Oversee the transportation of time sensitive specimens and supplies between hospitals, medical centers, physician practices, buildings, and remote areas as necessary according to established guidelines. Operate vehicles when necessary. Schedule operations and coordinate the maintenance of vehicles. This opportunity is a full-time Exempt position. Location: Knoxville, TN Days: Schedule can vary Hours: Will vary Full-time benefits are available In this role, you will: Plan and schedule work for couriers ensuring sufficient coverage of routes. Ensure routine inspection of vehicles to make sure that they are in safe and proper operating condition; schedule maintenance and repairs for vehicles. Educate employees in the safe and proper operation of vehicles, transportation, and record keeping of time sensitive specimens. Monitor courier performance and provide follow-up instructions. Monitors and recommends discipline of couriers using established policies and procedures to assist management in reaching productivity goals. Communicates with clients to schedule appropriate services, obtain patient information, and give specimen status using interpersonal communication and organizational skills to assure excellent customer services. Maintains positive professional relationships with all clients and employees of AEL. Perform IT related functions as needed. All you need is: High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Minimum of two (2) years courier or customer service experience Work experience with heavy phone utilization preferred. Working knowledge of the geographic area and knowledge of routes, schedules, and shifts.
