Organizes and maintains health information both in paper files and electronic systems. Opening, sorting and routing mail to appropriate departments daily. As a PeopleReady associate you'll benefit from: Connections and experience with some of the top companies in your area Great benefit package options Get matched to jobs quickly Competitive pay and steady schedule The ability to see your schedule and track your hours right from our easy-to-use app, JobStack Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $18.35 / Hour What you'll be doing as a Medical Documentation Technician: Facilitates in the processing of incoming and outgoing mail Sorts, analyzes and scans company mail into the appropriate document file folder Performs document validation and links document images to patient medical records Performs document reconciliation using corresponding work queues Checks data for accuracy, assign codes for insurance reimbursement and mails to insurance companies Prepares incoming patient and insurance checks for daily bank deposits May assist in the distribution of inter-office mail and incoming packages, accepts deliveries such as office supplies and assists in storage and/or delivering to the appropriate department -Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards Available shifts: Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with 1 year office related medical records experience. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and computer literacy Proficient and accurate data entry Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication (verbal and in writing with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation), and organizational skills are essential Ability to operate related office equipment Background check and drug screening required Ready to take control of the way you work?
