Job ID: 673802BR Date posted: Sep. 05, 2024 Description:ï± Perform any and all receiving and storekeeping duties to receive, check, record, store, segregate, and issue segregated supplies and materials stocked in hazardous storage and/or freezer areas.Typical Responsibilitiesï± Responsible for all activities required to maintain proper receiving, storage, handling and shipping involved with hazardous stores and perishable freezer materials.ï± Follow established procedures, designated safety precautions, engineering work instructions, Sikorsky specifications and drawings, etc. to control the receipt, handling, storage, care, and issuance of supplies and materials stored in hazardous storage areas in accordance with DOT and Sikorsky regulations.ï± Order all dry goods to support manufacturing.ï± Receive items, identify, and check for damage and correct quantity against accompanying freight bill and sign, noting discrepancies on bill and post to appropriate log.ï± Plan, coordinate and make arrangements with Inspection, general stores, shipping offsite vendor freezer and rental storage warehouse for shipments and deliveries.ï± As necessary prepare a discrepancy report if items do not correspond to packing slips.ï± Use data terminal to execute catalogue programs.ï± Enter storage and disbursement data on computer terminal; recording all transactions.ï± Cash out inventory and cut work orders for GFM cutting operations.ï± Conduct inventory checks noting expired materials, material exceeding shelf life, etc. and to insure the oldest material is used first.ï± Store, label, dispense and tract industrial solvents.ï± Unload and handle hazardous stores items such as: various sized drums, cans and carboys of solvents, acids, paints and other solutions, dry goods, compounds, primers and other items requiring special handling and storage.ï± Unload items, clear delivery receipts and move material from unloading area.ï± Hold items aside having any discrepancy.ï± Forward packing slips to receiving department for completion of reports.ï± Maintain complete control over hazardous and perishable stores; insure proper segregation of incompatible chemicals and assure only authorized personnel are permitted in the area.ï± Operate hand and power material handling equipment and specially equipped fork lift to move barrels, drums, cases, etc. about hazardous stores and occasionally use company vehicles to transport and deliver items to designated areas.ï± Cut and label materials as necessary for testing samples, laboratory requirements, shipments to vendors, etc.ï± Use care to keep area in an orderly, safe, controlled manner. ï± Resolve all discrepancies and problems encountered during course of storage activities referring unusual or recurring problems to working leader or supervision.ï± As directed perform other similar or related duties.ï± As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices to maintain cleanliness of assigned area.Basic Qualifications:Requires elementary knowledge of business operations and procedures sufficient to understand receiving, stock keeping, processing and shipping of hazardous and/or perishable materials.
