Nesco Resource has partnered with a growing company on the far east side of Columbus, OH looking to add an Accounting Supervisor to its team on a full time/direct hire basis.This is a growing organization with great benefits and work environment and strong promote from within mentality.Responsibilities and Duties Lead by example and comply with all safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including code of conduct Embrace and promote culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process. Perform complex purchase price variance and revenue recognition calculations for month-end close. Assist in preparation of month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and other reporting. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable as necessary. Conduct monthly actual versus budget analysis. Ensure integrity of financial data through normal condition and exception analysis. Assist with financial audit, including gathering data, preparing schedules, and coordinating with auditors as needed. Develop strong understanding of the business and manufacturing processes to correlate production and financial data with financial performance. Assist with coordinating yearly physical inventory. Develop, produce, and track key performance metrics and other financial data that inform business decisions. Continuously evaluate related processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization; make recommendations to management to improve product and process profitability Support the Controller with various projects and assignments as needed. Qualifications/Skills/Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; metals and/or heavy manufacturing experience a strong plus. Previous experience in a supervisory role strongly preferred.
