Monitor and evaluate the implementation of strategic plan and impacts from changing environments. Conduct strategic research to support the Bank’s business development and strategic decision-making. Assist strategy team lead with managing the strategic management framework and strategic communications with key stakeholders.Include but are not limited to:Strategic PlanningHelp EVP-in-charge and department manager to implement risk-based strategic management framework under OCC’s Heightened Standards requirements;Develop long-term strategy for the Bank;Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats embedded in each business line, and contribute inputs to the BOCNY strategic plan’s SWOT analysis;Provide inputs to the establishment of the process and procedure of strategic planning;Prepare presentations and templates to communicate and facilitate the strategic planning process;Provide critical analysis and participate in major strategic initiatives/projects across the Bank;Track industry and competitive trends as a baseline for strategic decision-making, constantly considering potential opportunities and risks.Strategic Monitoring Provide support to periodic reviewing of strategy plans;Identify gaps between the projected strategic; objectives and realized objectives, and analyses the reasons behind any gap;Develop methods and processes to track the progress of the bank-wide strategy execution;Collect data and create reports regularly for the senior management to support business decision-making;Closely monitor and analyze changes in the external environment including areas such as regulatory compliance, competition, technology, and industry trends.Analysis on external environment, banking industry and peer groupResearch industry trends, competitor dynamics and current events and provide relevant business insights for potential business opportunities and innovative business models;Review the changing macro and industry environments dynamically.Completion of ad hoc projectsProduce ad hoc high-quality reports related to bank’s strategies and business development.Bachelor’s degree and above is required at the time of hiring; Economics and Finance major preferredPrevious strategy management related internship experience preferredPossesses advanced knowledge of identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats embedded in each business linePossesses advanced knowledge of the US and China macroeconomy (a certain level of knowledge of the global economy), banking industry, and financial market and economic policesDemonstrates extensive ability to conduct research into economic and peer analysis in banking industry trends to identify likely impacts on the BankUSD $50,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
