Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.This position is responsible for providing cost and schedule management and analysis for programs. The Manufacturing Project Lead/Program Performance Analystwill develop the program time-phased cost or schedule baseline within the contract parameters in conjunction with the program team. You will analyze program performance (historical and predictive), monitor the forecasted completion data, and make recommendations to Project Lead and Manufacturing Management. The analyst is an individual contributor taking direction from manager or team lead.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Coordinates and performs cross functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organizationMay lead the development of manufacturing and operations plans, schedules, and facilitates assigned projectsAnalyzes cost and schedule performance, resource data management, assessing cost and schedule variance impacts, providing corrective action recommendations and executing corrective action plansPrepares complex departmental reports, purchases, requests, and training and development plans and other data as requiredCoordinatesand develops baseline budgets including detailed work breakdown structure (WBS)Maintains the integrity of performance measurement baseline and monthly and comprehensive estimate at complete (EAC)Reports status on a regular basis to all stakeholdersInterfaces with engineering departments, quality control, manufacturing, purchasing or other groups as required in order to complete project plansWorks independently in following general outlines of assignmentsRequires only minimal supervision and technical assistanceNormally works under the guidance of an operations manager, senior engineer or project leaderMay interface with external customers including DCMAKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Solid experience and able to perform all responsibilities associated with the positionGrasps and applies new information quickly; handles more complex assignmentsShows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little directionDemonstrates sophisticated problem solving skills, strong analytical expertise and the ability to maintain the integrity of GDMS business solutions.Requires the ability to plan, schedule and execute workGrasps and applies new information quickly; handles more complex assignmentsRequires multi-tasking abilities without losing focus to complete priority assignmentsShows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little directionDirects the efforts of technicians and associates as needed to complete special assignmentsMentors others on the teamSolid verbal and written communication skillsSolid ability to communicate and brief others on the teamProficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPointPREFERREDEXPERIENCE:Knowledge of EVMSExperience with EV Cost toolsKnowledge of material resource planning (MRP) systems and material procurementManufacturing experienceAbility to gather data to support efforts to reduce costThis estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
