The Department Director of Imaging Services administratively responsible and accountable for assisting in facilitating overall operational function, leadership initiative, coordination and supervision for the Imaging Services of Grand View Health.Essential Functions:Utilizes strategic planning process to facilitate long-range focus in planning, budgeting, procedure, and documentation development for the Imaging Services departments, which includes responsibility of MRI, CT Scan, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and PACS.Recommends and participates in establishing structure, goals, objectives, and management initiatives for assigned area.Has knowledge of trends, issues, standards, and legalities of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Recommends and participates in fiscal planning activities for assigned area, including cost analyses, staffing efficiencies, and reducing business expenses.Prepares annual operating, capital, and expense budgets for assigned areas.Facilitates the attainment of the goals and objectives of the assigned area.Drives growth by optimizing the use of equipment and staff to best meet patient demands as well as identify and fulfill financial opportunities for the organization.Ensures diagnostic and therapeutic programs comply with all corporate and regulatory agency standards and procedures. Coordinates provision of Imaging Services with other medical functions and has overall responsibility for the technical aspect of radiological safety. The Radiology Director is responsible for collaborating with the radiologists, medical staff, and Modality Leads/Supervisors and assures high quality Imaging Services.Assists Associate Vice President and department managers in overall departmental operations to effect efficient economical outcomes.Interviews, selects, and hires personnel for assigned areas.Evaluates performance of assigned personnel by providing ongoing feedback and annual written performance appraisals.Provides ongoing counseling and positive discipline in accordance with Human Resources policies including termination when indicated.Delegates effectively by entrusting responsibility and authority to appropriate Managers and staff.Participates and supports organizational changes in a constructive manner.Participates in recruitment and retention strategies and activities.Promotes and participates in shared-governance concepts and decision-making process.Maintains professional enhancement through independent learning activities, professional networking and attending relevant seminars, conferences or continuing education programsServes as a resource/consultant to managers and staff in areas of expertise.Works collaboratively with other hospital departments and personnel to develop, implement, and support quality improvement initiatives and opportunities.Works with regulatory authorities in commissioning and testing equipment.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree and over 5 years to 7 years in designated area of expertise, required Master's Degree, preferred Licenses and Certifications:ARRT, ARDMS, or other Imaging certification, upon hire, requiredBenefits:We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits to part-time and full-time employees including:Medical, dental, & vision insurance available 1st of the month after start dateWellness and gym discounts & free cardiac rehab gym403BOn-site discounted childcare centerPaid time offSick time for full time employeesTuition assistanceFree life insurance for full time employeesLong term disability for full time employeesShort term disabilityEmployee referral bonusIdentity theft insurancePet InsuranceFlexible spending accountsEmployee discount programEmployee Assistance Program Free parking
