Program innovation, creation, planning, implementation and evaluationProvide insight and assistance to the Camp Director with the fiscal management of campProvide oversight, supervision and evaluation of seasonal camp leadership and programs with a core focus on the following:Mental, Emotional and Social Health/Care TeamWork closely with Care Team Director for seasonal staffingWork in partnership with Federation grants team to identify and successfully implement grant opportunitiesDisability Inclusion (Open Hearts/Open Doors)Work in partnership with JCC Inclusion department to oversee the management of Open Hearts/Open Doors applicationsProvide supervision of the Open Hearts/Open Doors Director and assist with case manager and advocate hiring and placementsAssist Camp Director & Grants Team with the implementation of Saltzman Grant funding as it relates to Open Hearts/Open DoorsCamper Behavior ManagementWith seasonal camp leadership, evaluate and implement effective behavior management tools when applicable. Participate in camper recruitment initiatives:Identity and attend camp fairs when necessaryAttend all camper recruitment events (i.e: open house, off-season camp programming, parlor meetings, etc.)Provide camp tours for prospective familiesBuild, foster and maintain positive relationship with camp families to ensure a positive community image for CampParticipate in staff recruitment and retention initiatives:Identify and attend staff/career fairs when necessaryAttend staff interviewsAssist with staff application review and coordination of applications to seasonal leadershipIdentify opportunities to grow staff retention and increase overall staff satisfactionWork with seasonal leadership to assist in program development, staffing and bunkingAttend various conferences and trainings for the purpose of staying current and keeping camp cutting edge.Assist in the completion of staff evaluations.Identify and assist with opportunities focused on year round camp engagement including but not limited to:Off-season programming (i.e: Fall Festival, Broadway Live, etc.)Alumni engagement and programmingFundraising opportunitiesAssist with all camp communications including camp family communication and marketing initiatives in coordination with JCC MarketingAssist Camp Director & Assistant Camp Director on the implementation of special event programming (Color War, Ruach/Spirit Week, Appreciation Week, Israel Week, etc.)Assist in the implementation of the Shlichim program including interviews and host family coordinationOn call responsibilities during the camp season when the Director is unavailableRepresent the JCC Camps at Medford at occasional JCC or Federation wide programming and/or special events (i.e: Open Houses, Fundraisers, etc.) Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree preferred but at minimum bachelors, preferably in the areas of education, social work, psychology, communications, non-profit management, recreation or related field Previous camp experience preferred including full time or seasonal Strong background in day or residential campingWorking knowledge of Judaism, Jewish community and Jewish traditions with experiences in both formal and informal Jewish education preferred Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Agency Information: The Katz JCC houses a double gymnasium, 2 indoor pools, 2 outdoor pools, 2 elevators, 4 group wellness rooms, a state-of-the art fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, 2 full size gymnasiums, a 16-room early childhood center with an Imaginarium climbing play structure, teen and adult lounges, a kosher caf?, a physical therapy facility, an art gallery, a library, a 5,000 square foot social hall & an XRKADE interactive exer-gaming studio.The Katz JCC operates the largest Jewish Day Camp in North America, with an annual, average enrollment of 1,600 campers. The JCC Camps is located in Medford, NJ and has exceptional facilities.The JCC ACHaD special needs department provides social and recreational activities ranging from a basketball league to Jewish holiday celebration for both children & adults with physical and mental disabilities.The JCC Membership serves 14,000 members that range from infants, to children and teens, to active adults to the frail elderly.Our nationally accredited Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Department serves over 300 children in full and half day programs from infants and toddlers to kindergarten students. Just 4 Kids After School Program serves over 100 elementary and middle-school aged children from over 20 local schools.JCC Festival of Arts, Books & Culture brings authors, entertainers and speakers to the community. Annual attendance is approximately 10,000 people.Sun National Bank Junior Maccabi Basketball League serves 400 children, kindergarten through 9th grade.Senior Congregate Meal Program serves over 100 hot kosher meals to seniors 5 days per week as well as a cure for loneliness.Kidsland serves families in the Delaware valley with a day of hands-on fun and entertainment including some health & safety workshops.The Annual Sports Award Dinner attracts major professional athletes as speakers and recognizes local leaders.
