Title Saw Operator Location Victor, NY Full-Time: Full-TimeNesco Resource has partnered with a reputable company located in Victor, NY, to find a skilled Cut-Off Saw Operator. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team, where you will play an essential role in the manufacturing process, ensuring precise cuts and high-quality products.Primary Function and Scope:Using precise accuracy cut aluminum (6061-T6, T & J) or steel (CRS, 4140PH, A2, 0-1, S7, Structural Tubing, Structural Angle, etc.) to a desired length specified by work order by performing, but not limited to, the following duties:Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:¿ Must be able to operate an overhead crane safely - 1 ton limit.¿ Must be able to operate a forklift and maneuver materials safely within the Fabrication area.¿ Must be able to read blueprints and understand dimensions (decimal, or fraction).¿ Reads work order to determine dimensions to be cut.¿ Set the cut-off saw 'stop' to the desired length.¿ Slide the piece of metal, or tubing onto the 'feed' table. Starts machine and verifies size of cut material as a double check.¿ Readjust machine to ensure specified dimensions if necessary.¿ Place scrap metal pieces into a holding / scrap bin.¿ Empty scrap bucket at the end of the cut when full.¿ Keeps work area clean.¿ Observe safety procedures.¿ Any other task assigned by management within scope of the position, federal and state regulations.Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Education And/Or Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent with 2 years' work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Language Skills: Effective verbal/written communication.
