If you are a focused, results -driven, tenacious and highly flexible team player, we’ll give you every opportunity to build a rewarding career with one of the world’s foremost major lifestyle brand collectivesThe Senior Manager of Production drives the seasonal production process by managing manufacturing orders and ensuring the timely delivery of quality goods working on Sportswear and Activewear.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy & InnovationPartner overseas partners to achieve global production efficiencies across divisions and groupsDrive and perform competitive research; continuously evaluate marketplace to identify and review applicability of key trends in manufacturing, fabrications and construction; identify significant innovations and share with partners in Merchandising and Design on regular basis; oversee maintenance of archive of materials, hardware, etc. for productionOperations and ResultsDrive and manage all purchase orders (creation and issuance) operationsDrive creation and review of approved vendor matrix, with production capacity portfolio and quality assurance performance; approve and review production standardsEnsure tracking of production from first samples to final deliveries; resolve non-compliance/claims chargebacks with vendors; manage customs classification coordination with ImportsSet and articulate expectations and ensure timely delivery according to development calendarSet and ensure satisfaction of production standards and cohesiveness of brand, where appropriate, across categories and vendors; oversee quality control initiatives, including QA analysis and solutionsLead team in troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving quality and technical issues; drive efforts in special garment development and enhancements and modifications to designs and materials, including line and discount/derivative products, in order to maintain aesthetic and achieve financial goalsManage capacity planning and performance management by sourcing office, region, country and vendor; define and oversee accurate costing models; partner with Sales and Planning to project production needs, make commitments to raw materials, where appropriate; allocate production across vendors and reserve production spaceLead, plan and track all shipments departures and arrivalsCreate and maintain all reporting for all production operationsLead oversees operationsCustomers & RelationshipsPartner with customers, Sales, Merchandising and Operations, as well as vendors and factories to ensure adequate flow of goods relative to orders and anticipated demand criteriaDirect interoffice communication and follow-up with internal and external customers and contacts regarding production, including suppliers and vendorsPerform and delegate special projects as assignedTravel to factories and international trade shows, where appropriateLeadership & TeamsContribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessaryAttract, develop and retain talent; create appropriate succession plansMonitor and evaluate performance of individuals and team(s)Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team orientedAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulousCreativity, technical capability and sensibility for merchandising/designExtensive knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniquesBachelor’s Degree5-7 years’ experience in apparel production and sourcing; significant relevant experience in categoryProficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, CAD and Mac computersIn return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401 (k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.
