Clinical Research Professionals (CRP), a Headlands Research site, is a privately owned dedicated research center that provides a network of physicians who work collaboratively in conducting clinical research trials. Our team consists of experienced research professionals helping to improve lives through advancement of new drug therapies and medical devices.This is a full time position based at our office in Chesterfield, MOThe RoleThe Patient Recruitment Specialist will work in a call center setting and be responsible for all recruitment related activities for assigned clinical trials. This includes but is not limited to mastery of protocol specific inclusion/exclusion criteria, participation in the development of recruitment strategies and plans, and the tracking of recruitment results. The Patient Recruitment Specialist will mainly be responsible for phone screening potential study participants, entering information into the clinical database, and scheduling potential participants for on-site visits.Contact research study participant candidates to intake and review medical history; schedule them for screening visitsEnter research study candidate information in databaseMake a high volume of outbound calls a day, responding to patients that are interested in participating in a clinical trial; assess preliminary subject eligibility against protocol specific inclusion and exclusion criteriaAnswer incoming calls from potential study patientsDevelop and maintain working knowledge of assigned medical indicationsReview patient database, vendor portals and other electronic platforms as required to identify potential study patients and initiate contactEnsure accurate collection and entry of patient information into the relevant databases while on the phoneEnsure courteous and efficient service is provided to all callersSupport other members of your team as well as cross-functional team membersAttend and contribute to department meetingsMedical or health industry degree or certificate is a plusExcellent customer service skills are required; call center experience a plusFamiliarity with Medical terminology and common disease process knowledge is requiredPrior inside sales experience a plusPassion for communicating to peoplePossess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detailsDisplay excellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to quickly adapt to changes in responsibilities, workloads and prioritiesBe a fast learner with capacity to retain and differentiate key enrollment criteria across clinical trialsPossess well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to work well independently, as well as with co-workers, peers, supervisor and external customersAble to maintain confidentiality with HIPAA guidelines, patient information and other sensitive informationDemonstrate professionalism, sense of urgency and self-motivation to achieve required metricsAt Headlands Research, we are dedicated to enhancing clinical trial delivery within our communities.
