Weu2019re seeking a future team member for the role Associate, Operations Risk II to join our Operational Risk Team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PAu2013 with a Hybrid work arrangement. This second line of defense role will contribute to the ongoing execution of the elements of the Operational Risk Management Framework. The employee will be responsible for the ongoing independent oversight and challenge of operational risk management activities of the first line of defense. process change risk assessments and operational risk reporting for an assigned business or functional group. In this Associate II role, youu2019ll make an impact in the following ways: Support engagement with the assigned Line of Business or Corporate Function, building relationships and driving first line of defense ownership of operational risk. Contribute to the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of operational risk inherent to business activities and effectiveness of the control environment. Support the assigned Line of Business or Corporate Functionu2019s adherence to the Operational Risk Management Framework, including the execution and maintenance of Risk & Control Self Assessments, Operational Risk Limits, Operational Risk Events and Business Process Change risk assessments. To be successful in this role, weu2019re seeking the following: Bacheloru2019s degree is required. Degrees with a focus in Business, Finance, Accounting and similar are preferred. 2 years of experience in a global, financial, or professional services firm is preferred. Risk management experience is preferred. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to work with data and identify risk trends, patterns, and concentrations. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with ability to articulate clearly views and recommendations. Collaborative and team-oriented, demonstrating ability to interact and engage with a diverse group of people in a variety of functions, across the world. Results-oriented, able to work with high productivity in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and competing priorities. The base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
