As an Optometric Prescreener, you will perform basic patient care, ophthalmic testing procedures, and initial patient examinations as directed by a physician or supervisor.A caregiver in this position works 8:00AM - 5:00PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Manage patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and providersProcess patient's information through electronic medical records and help maintain the operation of the reception records and the clinical areasStock exam and clinical areasClean and sterilizes clinical areasConduct pre-testing and special testing for the following: preliminary case history including medical conditions, review of systems and current medications, visual acuity (distance and near), auto-refraction, lensometry, tonometry, visual field, OCT, topography, drop installation-as ordered by provider, and perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the practiceMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School diploma or equivalent.Formal education or training in optometry and/or ophthalmology preferred.High School diploma or equivalent.Formal education or training in optometry and/or ophthalmology preferred.Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
