Join the Cleveland Clinic team, where you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Exercise Physiologist is responsible for conducting appropriate tests and evaluations; developing, instructing and monitoring appropriate exercise and strength regimens; and educating on lifestyle changes and risk-factor modification for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients. As a caregiver in this role, you will have the chance to participate in research and quality improvement projects that aim to improve the outcomes and experiences of patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions. This caregiver will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some of the best professionals in the field and contribute to the mission of improving the lives of our patients and communities.A caregiver in this position works from 7 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.A caregiver who excels in this role, will:Utilize assessment skills to provide patient care in Phase II and Phase III of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.Teach patient and family education classes relating to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.Document problems and report patient progress to physicians.Serve as a consultant for the department, hospital and community, in relation to exercise principles, fitness equipment and teract/integrate with members of all departments in an effort to provide total patient care.Develop, instruct and monitor individualized rehabilitation goals, including risk factor reduction and exercise prescriptions in collaboration with other cardiac rehab staff members.Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Bachelor's degree in Exercise PhysiologyCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)2 years of experience in cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitationPreferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Certification as Exercise Leader and/or Exercise SpecialistOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
