Come Join a Dynamic TeamThe Ideal HR Generalist Assistant Role For Those Who Like To Be The 'Go-To'The Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio is looking for a HR Generalist Assistant to join our Human Resources team in the Brooklyn Heights Ohio office. The HR Generalist Assistant will be responsible for providing full range of human resource services to VNAO with a heavy emphasis on HR administration and HR analytics, and policy. The successful HR Generalist Assistant will be a champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department, Employee Relations and Business Management teams.Principal Responsibilities:Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.HR Functions Responsible for the data integrity/accuracy of information in HR system of record in ADP Workforce NowAnswer questions on employee benefits, payroll, disability, workers comp and HR policies via FreshDesk Ticketing SystemEnsure compliance to employment law and HR policiesProcess unemployment administration and verifications of employment Works closely with management and employees to improve employee engagement, work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionPerforms new hire orientationsAssist with investigations, counseling, and propose options for consideration Promote cross-departmental collaboration and information sharing Assist with updating employee information, as needed Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this positionJob Competencies & Minimum Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED required; Bachelors preferred; experience accepted as substitute 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources High attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment Strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and organizational skills Ability to work on own initiative VNA Health Group provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
