RN preceptors and clinical staff provide mentoring, guidance, and education to new graduate registered nurses during a 12-month period to develop their confidence and competency. The residents are hired into a varied shift which requires the selected candidates to work day and night shifts. The program is intended for new registered nurses with less than 1 year of acute care experience. We encourage, grow, challenge, and validate nursing skills to ensure the residents are able to manage time effectively and deliver safe patient care.
