Position will function as first call for all emergency department consults with physician back-up primarily for Surgical Specialties.Conduct rounds as needed for IP General Surgery and Urology patients. Overnight APP coverage for CMH and TOH.Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required. Knowledge and skill of orthopedic disorders and treatments is required. Surgical First Assistant experience is preferred. Skill in operating medical equipment, a variety of software applications and multiple projects is required AND/OR Nurse Practitioner is required. One year experience required.
