Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Deleware, OHSalary: Negotiable (Starting at $25/hr+)Job Summary:As a Plastic Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the plastic extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Your primary responsiblity will be to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs to keep the production lines running smoothly.Benefits:Health, dental and vision insurance on day one.401(k) retirement programPaid holidays and vacationKey Responsibilities:Identify and diagnose equipment break down and implement corrective measures to resolve the issues promptly.Preform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to ensure proper functioning.Performs preventative maintenance on equipment asDevelop and implement a preventative maintenance schedules forMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities including workProvide training and support to the production staff on the operation of equipment, maintenance and safety procedures.Help maintain the facility including preforming any necessary repairs or updates needed to ensure a safe work environment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentExperience with extrusion related maintenance - pipe or profile extrusion preferredExperience with material conveyance equipment maintenanceAbility to read and understand safety rules and regulationsTwo years training in vocational/technical school electronics program preferredMinimum five to ten years maintenance/electrical experienceAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to read electronic schematicsExperienced in electronic and hydraulic troubleshootingBasis mechanical skillsAbility to understand manuals, equipment capabilitiesGood hand/eye coordinationOwn and provide mechanic’s tools for own useCompany Overview:OVER 60 YEARS OF KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN EXPERTISE IN STEEL AND PLASTICSFounded in 1958, Ohio Steel Industries began business with one employee operating principally as a structural steel fabricator, in a 25,000 square feet facility in Columbus, Ohio.
