Job Description The Event Technology Sales Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the day to day sales department of the venue, while delivering the highest level of client satisfaction and retention possible. The focus of the Event Technology Sales Manager is on providing high levels of customer service and proactive communication to the client and the internal team as well as driving the overall execution of internal processes. Internal processes will begin with the order approval process and continue through the execution on show site. Client referrals will also be an expectation of this employee, as the Event Technology Sales Manager will be highly visible to clients. Key responsibilities: • Ensure consistent high levels of client satisfaction and retention for assigned portfolio. • Act as liaison between client and internal teams Ensure that each client's needs and goals are clearly communicated and represented. • Solicit and receive constant feedback from client on level of satisfaction, areas for improvement and areas of success. Share feedback with internal teams and Sales Directors on a consistent and real-time basis. • Working with account executives, operations and accounting to ensure proper execution of internal processes that result in high client satisfaction and retention: Assist IPM team with revising orders in Lightning. • Ensure orders move smoothly through internal approval process. Stay in constant communication with the Sales Director throughout process. • Make any changes needed to order before, during or after show that affect the invoice. • Work with Accounting and Operations team post-show to ensure a timely and accurate invoice is produced to client. • Work closely with all internal departments and individuals to deliver the highest level of profitability on every event. • Oversight of sales pipeline of inbound meeting customers at the venue. Managing all aspects of sales process, from tentative lead management, all the way through event completion and customer follow-up by using company's CRM tool. • Stay informed on current technology trends and concepts by connecting with AV Concepts design team. • Perform knowledge sessions to gain knowledge of each upcoming meeting group to properly engage the meeting client. • Work cohesively with hotel sales and catering staff to enhance chances hotel wins meeting contracts, as well as selling AV services to the end meeting group. • Work closely with AV Concepts Director of Event Technology to determine show stacks, proper gear and labor usage, as well as monthly revenue forecasts. • Attend all site visits with hotel sales and catering staff, as well as pre-convention meetings. • Deliver best-in-class customer service to the customer holding events in the hotel, as well as the hotel management team. • Expected to kick off events with customers (could be an evening or a weekend). • Create post-show report for client on all shows: Report must consist of both positive and negative results from show and contain feedback from client. • Review report with any appropriate parties (including client when appropriate). • Work schedule to mirror onsite sales team at the hotel venue. Hours are expected to be approximately 8am-5pm. • Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales and Marketing Job Qualifications: • Ability to work as part of a team, understand clients' perspective and demonstrate excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. • Prior history using a CRM Platform (Zoho, SalesForce, etc.) • Education Requirements Four-year degree preferred or equivalent experience in business/event sales.
