Are you living your life's work? Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a Program Coordinator for its School of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS). This is a full time, day shift opportunity. The Program Coordinator will support the program's administrative functions and help provide oversight of students enrolled. Summary: The MLS School coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the 20 students of the Medical Laboratory Science School and supports the MLS School Program Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services at PAH. The MLS School coordinator reports to the MLS School Program Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services at PAH and works directly with the students, student candidates and the didactic instructors along with bench instructors at Pennsylvania Hospital, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Chester County Hospital. Responsible for all administrative duties for Program Director and Senior Director of Clinical Services at PAH. Provides clerical support for laboratory managers and supervisors, and staff. Support all volume, revenue, NAACLS accreditation, MLS school data retrieval and analysis. Responsibilities: Prospective Students - Actively participates in ensuring all required documents are received in a timely fashion. Including applications, references and official transcripts. Schedule interviews with prospective students and the Admissions Committee. Ensure applicants are aware of missing required information. Students - Monitor student absences, attendance at rotations, follow up within 1 week for student evaluations and rotation evaluations. Record grades. Add students to teaching software purchased by MLS program. Instructors - Assist in placing instructors in teaching software. Assist instructors with software issues, including training. Build exams in software. Monitor/proctor exams. Graduation - Organize graduation - Send invitations, book room, graduate certificates/pins. MLS Advisory Committee and Faculty Committee - Organize minutes and presentations. Maintain projects as identified in minutes. NAACLS accreditation - Manage and record outcome measures. Assist in preparing NAACLS annual report. Assist the Program Director in preparing for the NAACLS mid and inspection. Keep track of annual changes and outcomes to those changes. Manage school website with oversite of Program Director. Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization. Education: Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required) Education Specialization:Business, Allied Health or Related Field Equivalent Experience: Proven skill in strategic planning, program development, operational management, personnel management, education and community outreach (Required) Ability to establish/maintain rapport with many individuals at various levels throughout the organization (Required) 2+ years Experience as a Program Coordinator (Preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Strong written and communication skills We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
