ACCOUNTANT SENIOR Job ID: R-37512 Job Type: Full time Location: Lenexa, Kansas Save Job Saved Job Position Summary / Career Interest:Serves as the Senior Accountant supporting the System Financial Reporting Director and Grant Controller. Is responsible for the accurate general ledger activity associated with EPIC PB, related reporting, and reconciliations. This position also supports the Cash Posting department by balancing JPC clinic payments. Ensures compliance to company policies and procedures. Supports and adheres to The University of Kansas Hospital's Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsDemonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.Manages his/her organizational responsibilities in a way that supports the achievement of unit/team goals. Skillfully administers, directs and allocates all organizational resources.Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to develop a unit/team-wide spirit and intra-team and inter-team cooperation.Stays focused on all key stakeholders and supports the unit/team ability to deliver on all valid stakeholder expectations.Prepare journal entries.EPIC Professional Billing Contractual Allowances for Cancer, MAC, JPC, MATCS, and all other Hospital Based Specialties.EPIC Professional Billing Uncompensated Allowances.Correct any EPIC PB posting errors.Prepare annual EPIC PB late charge entry.Other journal entries as assigned.Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules.Balance EPIC PB to G/L Daily.Prepare EPIC PB Reports (Monthly wRVU Report, monthly Charge Export, Monthly Adjustment Report, Monthly Payment Report, all ad aoc and special request reporting as required).Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
