Job Description: We are looking for a versatile and skilled Handyman to support our manufacturing client in Madison Heights, MI. The Handyman will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks within the facility to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform minor carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks to maintain the building's interior and exterior. Assist with the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery as needed. Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with tools, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist with the setup and relocation of workstations, machinery, and equipment within the facility. Perform inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or improvements. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members. Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces. Work Environment: The role involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Flexibility to work during off-hours or weekends for emergency repairs as needed. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in relevant trades is a plus. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
