You willprotect and promotethe interestsof bothGilbaneandtheclient in all matters as well as demonstratingthe personal characteristics of a developing leader.As a Project Engineer II, you will:Partner with the Senior Project Engineer and/or Project Managerwith coordinating and distributing all project informationWork with the project team to ensure all contract documentlogs are up to date in real timeEnsure status reports on RFIs, Submittals and other Documents are prepared and presentedWrite effective scopes of work for bid packagesEffectively issue Request for Quotations and follow up with Trade ContractorsSuccessfully update project schedules with CPM techniquesTimely document field quality activitiesPrepare change management reports, estimates and other cost report documentsEstablish and maintain the project quality files and documentation systemsContinually promote organizational change initiatives, suggests new ideas, and adapt to work within new structures and processesContinually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating valueDevelop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for GilbaneEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBSorMS degree in Engineering or Construction Management2+or more years witha large trade contractor, construction management or generalcontractororganizationOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESProvenrecord of meeting organizational and personal goals while delivering results to a standard of excellenceDemonstrated understanding of success metrics and risks associated with one’s program, business unit or portfolio of projectsContinually seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating valueAdjust effectively to work within new structures, processes,requirementsand cultureStrong written and verbal skillsAbility to work in ateam basedenvironmentProficient in Microsoft Office programsOSHA 10-hourcertifiedrequired; OSHA 30-hour preferredBasicMEP KnowledgeUnderstanding of Contract Document & SpecificationsKnowledge ofCMiCpreferredSalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.For Albany, NY this ranges from $68,600.00 - $94,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
