The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Operations Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Mansfield, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This can be an in-office or remote position, and will need to travel to Massachussets at least once per quarter.Responsibilities:Serve as a vital partner in providing our Broker, Operations, Sales, Account Management and Accounting Operations teams with deep employee benefits and EDI knowledgeOversee teams based in multiple locations to include remote/at home sitesInterface directly with clients, outsource partners and suppliers, in addition to collaborating with internal business teams to implement and manage growth plansResponsible for recommending, developing, and implementing operational plans and policies to ensure attainment of near-term performance targets as well as long-term strategic business objectivesResponsible for the optimization of performance and effective employee/client management and communicationInternal expert on carrier connections / EDI Files / 834 filesDevelop comprehensive reporting and analysis tools including performance metrics and productivity reports with long term trending models to support business decisions and strategic directionConsistently direct the work of multiple direct reports and provides training as neededResponsible for the decision to engage, terminate, advance, promote, or change status for employees under their direct or indirect supervisionEstablish trust and credibility by fostering a positive relationship with senior executives, management, and associates.Identify and communicate best practices, trends, and general industry newsIdentify and lead projects to improve service delivery efficiencies and workflowsAnalyze productivity and quality results to formulate action plans for continuous performance improvementDisseminate information regarding the corporation, industry, competition, and other relative issues to management staffPartner with other departments to ensure a thorough understanding of the servicing area to design and implement highly effective and efficient customer service strategiesProvide and demonstrate effective leadership and soft skills in managing operations to ensure attainment of departmental performance measurements and goalsFacilitate training and serve as an ongoing resourceMaintain constructive relationships with co-workers and members of managementRecognize items/issues that have budgetary impacts and adjust accordinglyQualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience in the employee benefits industryExpert with carrier connections / EDI Files / 834 filesExperience with ADP Workforce Now benefit administration modules strongly preferredBachelor's degree in related field (additional equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute for the required level of education)Successful track record leading and developing direct reportsSolid knowledge of all MS Office productsStrong presentation/public speaking experience in large groupsStrong demonstration of personal initiative and self-directionProven experience leading strategic initiatives with both direct and indirect reportsProven knowledge and compliance with applicable federal and state regulatory requirementsProblem solver with excellent analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlinesProcess flow development and support abilitiesComfortable working on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to refine policies, procedures, and service levelsBenefits:Company Paid Life Insurance, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability.Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA/HSA plans.401(k) with company match.Additional voluntary benefits including Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, Hospital Indemnity and Supplemental Life Insurance, Legal and Identity Protection, and Pet benefits.Generous PTO.An awesome team of professionals!The Hilb Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we actively support and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws prohibiting all forms of discrimination in employment.
