In order to keep growing and helping more patientsfind hope in their conditions, we’re on the hunt for a team member to join us in our effort as a ClinicalResearch Assistant.As a Clinical Research Assistant, you’ll assist with clinical trial procedures as an integral part of theresearch team. Your direction will be assigned by the Director of Research, but your day-to-day couldtake many forms. From hands-on time with patients to driving around Springfield on supply runs ortouching up on protocol training, everything we do plays an essential role in advancing tomorrow’smedicine— today.We believe in helping you understand the fine print—here’s a list of skills that would make you the bestfit for this position:Reporting skills, administrative writing skills, Microsoft Office skills, managingprocesses, organization, analyzing information, professionalism, problem-solving, verbal and writtencommunication, ability to focus on and perform detailed workprevious phlebotomy/lab draw skills or willingness to learnprevious ECG experience or willingness to learnWe believe in double and triple checks.This is a detail-oriented job, and since you fit that requirement, you’ll make sure to include #TripleCheckin the subject line of the email you send us with your resume. Bonus points for resumes with referenceswe don’t have to ask you for.Assist with laboratory functions such as blood draws, and ECGs, maintaining lab kits,processing lab samples, and shipping labsProvide administrative support to the research team membersProtocol-specific training, when requiredCommunicate effectively and work in collaboration with the research team in order to meetresearch study objectivesAid in recruitment and phone screening of potential patients utilizing patient database andprospective patient databaseComply with institutional and departmental policies and proceduresTravel in and around Springfield for lab draws, specimen pickup, or general supply pickupManage the storage and retention of study documents as per outlined in study protocolsPrioritize workload, plan, organize, track, and follow up on projects and tasks with the ability tomeet deadlines and handle multiple tasks accuratelyComplete word processing, spreadsheet, and database data entry in an accurate and timely mannerReport punctually in-office Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferredRecent experience with lab draws or phlebotomy highly preferredMust be comfortable around bodily fluids and with becoming phlebotomy trainedPrevious ECG experience helpfulExperience working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelPrevious experience running reports or managing data requiredRequires a high level of attention-to-detail and organization to focus on and perform detailed work
