The Inventory Advisor position contributes to Warehouse operations by ensuring that all inventory information is correct and up to date. A typical day as an Inventory Advisor consists of counting, transferring and replenishing inventory. Advisors also frequently liquidate outdated inventory, assign unaccounted inventory a proper location, and audit the warehouse management system (WMS) for errors. Inventory Advisors work closely with Sales teams to ensure any last-minute changes to orders are appropriately addressed.This role reports to the Inventory Supervisor and may report to the Knox or Ridge warehouse depending on volume and business needs.Since 1989, SHI International Corp. has helped organizations change the world through technology. World-class facilities and the technology you need to thrive - in our offices or yours.Include but not limited to: Perform inventory cycle counts for accuracy and verificationComplete transfer requests submitted by sales, configuration staff, customersRe-label and store invoiced products going back into stock under customer owned variantsCompile and provide stock being returned to vendors to our returns departmentRestock bins with minimum quantity requiredReceive and record serial number in the Warehouse Management System for designated customer projectsRemove obsolete products from inventory as directedExecute last-minute order changesProvide coverage for other warehouse roles in times of high volumeComplete forklift safety and operation training within 30 days of hire1 year of warehouse experienceHigh school or equivalent educationMust be able to communicate (verbal/written) in EnglishAbility to operate a computer and navigate in a Windows based platformComplete forklift safety and operation training within 30 days of hireAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to take direction and follow instructionsAbility to be detailed orientedAbility to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiencyAbility to work independently or part of a teamAbility to show initiative to complete tasks without direct instructionAbility to understand and apply management feedbackAbility to demonstrate professional attitudeAbility to operate industrial powered equipmentAbility to multitask and prioritize workFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePointOvertime and weekend work are available, and may be required throughout the yearPosition requires the ability to move or lift up to 50lbsThe estimated hourly pay range for this position is $18.25 - $23.25 plus a quarterly bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
