Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses.The XL Center is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers.The XL Center entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and many others.The XL Center will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.Assist in events and promotional activities to grow the Wolf Pack fan baseEngage prospective and current Wolf Pack fans in a professional and positive manner through various promotions, events, and marketing effortsIncrease awareness, interest, and fan support for the Wolf Pack through the distribution of promotional materialsAssist in generating brand awareness for the Wolf Pack at a variety of local events and activitiesProvide full operational support (set-up/tear-down) of all promotional materials including tents, tables, etc.Work on Game Nights/Days to assist Sr. Manager of Game Presentation with various responsibilities (set-up arena, find contestants for games, organize for, and execute in-game promotions)Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidaysExcellent communication skills required with thorough understanding of written and spoken EnglishAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to skate on ice preferred but not requiredAbility to traverse a variety of terrain and floor surfaces including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, iceAbility to work in heights, in darkened area, around crowds, loud noise and flashing lightsAbility to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environment and stressful situationsAbility to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.At OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
